Your Journey, Our Support
A recovery coach is a trained professional who offers guidance, support, and encouragement to individuals recovering from substance use disorder. Utilizing a mentorship-style model, these coaches, who have sustained long-term recovery experience, work one-on-one with individuals to help them set goals, navigate challenges, and create personalized recovery plans to promote long-term sobriety and wellness.
These peer groups, led by those with personal experience in addiction and recovery, complement professional treatment by providing ongoing peer support, fostering community, and creating a space for shared understanding. Facilitators use their personal journeys through grief and healing. They use practical tools like SMART Recovery and the 12-step program to offer a well-rounded and empathetic approach to addiction and recovery.
Include 12-step programs like Narcotics Anonymous, non-12-step programs like SMART Recovery and SMART for Family and Friends, grief support, and faith-based groups.
